Webster`s Pages & Dusty Attic

Hi there!
As you probably already heard Webster`s Pages and Dusty Attic teamed up this week - What a beautiful match!
This is my first project I created using the laser-cut chipboards.
Dusty Attic Chipboard used:
Well, the layout is based on white card stock. Once I finished with misting my background I used the leafy stem chippie as a mask. The photo says it all I think :-)....

This is not my first time using chipboard as a mask. Check my previous attempt ;-) --------> HERE
And one more link....just for fun......my first layout using Dusty Attic chipboard (Thank you, Tracy - aka Stay True to God!!!!!!) -------> HERE

The rest of the chipboard was painted with different colors Glimmer Glam.
N.B. Before I apply any paint to any kind of chipboard I always bring a layer (or two) of Gesso!
Webtser`s Pages products used:
For more inspiration & what the rest of the DT girls created you can check our Inspire Me site -------> HERE

I thought I`d share a photo of my kiddos I took recently :-)

Have a wonderful week!

Manor House Creations

Hi there!
With Christmas round the corner I`m already in a Christmas mood ;-)
Today, I have a layout to share with you that I created for Manor House Creations using some of their newest gorgeous flowers. I see Christmas surrounded by beauty and cosiness and these flowers are exactly how I feel round this time of the year. In other words I don`t need to add a christmas starry ;-) flower to my layout to show it`s a Christmas page.....for me it counts how I feel about it....
I used the newest collection from The Scrap Cake "Cozy Xmas" which was simply perfect for my project..... Did you know that Manor House Creations is the official distributor of The Scrap Cake Products in Australia?
Flowers used:
  • Fairy Floss - Soft pink
  • Marguerite - floral
  • Frosted wild rose
  • Beautiful - rose red

I decorated two of the flowers by adhering a big pearl in the centers and by adding strings of pearls....

Well, I bought lots of tiny cones and I`m adding them to my pages and cards these days (Check ------> HERE)
N.B. I added puffy paint to the cones :-).
I also added puffy paint to one of the leaves to match the cones.

The oval frame is a die-cut from Sizzix (Thank you, Corina!!!!!). It was embossed and inked a little bit. I added as a touch the string of pearls.....

You won`t believe it but I bought like hundreds of these cute little bells and I just love adding them to my projects. Here I tried to make a "Xmas-bells-tree"....lol. I used the bells and embroidery thread for this purpose....

This corner of my layout WAS very clean till I began:
  • First stamping, using Marianne Designs Winter Clear stamps
  • Then masking with mini chicken wire mask
  • And then adding My Mind`s Eye Rub-ons (the branch and the text).......Love all my rub-on leftovers ;-)

Well, that was all for today! I hope you enjoyed it and I inspired you a little bit.
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog!

An Altered Birdcage ~Scrapdelight~

Hi there!
Today I have an altered item to share with you that I made back in August (2011) for "Scrapdelight" scrapbook store! I enjoyed the process of decorating it so much. I wish I had more time to spend on altering items.....

  • The key and the keyhole are from Melissa Frances (Resin Embellishments)...

  • I also decorated the inside part of the birdcage. I added a birdcage with a bird chipboard which was painted with puffy paint......

  • I used mini Prima clear stamps, embossing stamp pad (clear) and white embossing powder to decorate the bottom part of each wall...

CRACKLE MEDIUM
This is how all the pieces looked like before I decorated the house. I achieved this effect by working with Crackle Medium. I love Crackle medium and I use it already for a long time ;-).
What I did here was simply crackling with two colors acrylic paint - green and blue.
Tip: The best effect is to apply two contrasting colors.

I used a small brush to apply the crackle medium. It`s a small birdcage and there was no need to have large cracks. Moreover I used sand paper in the end to give it more distressed look.
Tip: If you want to have larger cracks you can use a foam brush and if you want to achieve finer cracks simply use a small brush. It`s also important how thick you apply the crackle medium - the thicker the layer is the larger the cracks are.
Well, I guess, that was everything for today :-) Hope you enjoyed my post!
Have a great weekend!

Thank You card ~Scrapdelight~

Hi there!
My family  & I don`t celebrate Thanksgiving but that fact didn`t stop me creating a "Thank you" card. A "Thank you" card for everybody who supported me through the year - my precious family, my sweet friends and all the cups of coffee and Red Bull I drank to keep me awake during the sleepless nights ;-)
And of course I want to Thank YOU - all my followers - who are always here for me to show their support and feedback!
THANK YOU!
I began making this card from white cardstock. I masked the background using Distress Ink and then I stamped the flourish. The beautiful frame you see is a chipboard from Imaginarium Designs. It was painted with puffy paint. The inner frame you see was part of the chipboard but I cut it out and painted it separately with Glimmer Glam and then I attached it back to the original frame. The butterfly is also a chippie from Imaginarium Designs - it was painted with Glimmer Glam as well and when it was dry I glued some beads to decorate it.
I used an Itty Bitty stamp ("Thanks a Bunch"). The tiny flowers were colored in with Copic Markers - my dear old "friends" supporting me already for years ....lol
Here is a photo of some of the products I used...
N.B. Did you notice the ribbon? I stamped on the ribbon and I used again Copic Markers to color the tiny flowers....it works perfectly....pity I didn`t use it though ;-) but I will for sure....
All Products are available to buy by Scrapdelight shop!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving Day!
